Turn around! Don’t drown!

A dog with a vest that says “Turn Around Don’t Drown!”

There has been a lot of rain lately. My friends and I like to float sticks and other things in the gutters full of water. It is fun to see how fast they can float to the drain.

My friends know to be careful though. Do you know how much moving water can knock you off your paws? SIX INCHES! That’s between your ankles and knees!

How much flowing water can move a car? 18 inches! That’s about the size of a doll, or small baseball bat.

What can you do to be safe? Turn around! Don’t drown. Easy!
